A replacement passport is a reprint of an existing passport with a new passport number, applicable under limited circumstances.

The expiry date will normally be the same as the passport being replaced.

The existing passport must have at least two years validity remaining in order for a replacement passport to be issued.

From 1 January 2016 Lost/Stolen fees have been ceased. Charges apply for replacement documents. Note that new document validity may be affected if more than one document has been lost in the last five years.

Consular officers at the Embassy of Australia Seoul can witness signatures on certain legal documents.

As each document is different, consular officers at the Embassy are not able to provide advice on the requirements of your particular document.  It is your responsibility to check with the originator of the document whether an Australian Consular Officer is able to witness your signature on the document. 

Please be aware that this service may require certifying copies of your IDs with additional cost, so please clarify all the requirements with your lawyer or bank prior to the beginning of service provision.

Attesting and Witnessing a Signature – Property acquisition/transfer related (호주 내 토지 및 부동산 양도, 담보 대출 등을 위한 서명 인증)

Passport application for a minor (aged 16 or 17, 32 pages, 10 years validity.

Child (aged 16 or 17) Ordinary Passport (만 16 & 17세 일반 여권)

Passport application for a minor (aged under 16), 32 pages, 5 years validity.

A Certificate of No Impediment (CNI) can be issued if, on the basis of information supplied by the applicant, the couple meet the criteria which would render a marriage legal in Australia:
•	the parties are not closely related 
•	they are both of marriageable age (18 years) 
•	neither is already married.

The laws of some countries require that before a foreigner may marry within their jurisdiction, they must produce a certificate issued by the authorities of the country to which they belong stating that those authorities do not know of any impediment to the marriage. Such a certificate is known as a Certificate of No Impediment (CNI) or in some countries as a Nulla Osta Certificate. 

이 서류는 한국 내에서 혼인을 신고하기 위해 발급되는 서류로, 미혼임을 증명하는 "Single Certificate" 과는 무관합니다.

Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage (혼인요건성립구비증명서)

The certification of documents take the following form: 'This is a true copy of the document presented to me'. Documents presented must be original. The Embassy is unable to complete certified copies of photocopied for facsimiles. 

When certifying a document containing a photograph, such as a driver's licence, the Embassy is only certifying that the copy is a true copy of the original document presented and does not make any claims about the identity of the individual.

The documents presented must be Australian and/or required for use in Australia. In many cases, a document intended for use in Australia. Certification of copies is different to legalising documents.

Certifying a Copy of a Document (원본대조필 공증)

Consular officers at the Embassy of Australia Seoul can witness signatures on certain legal documents.

We are unable to witness signatures on documents for visa and migration purposes.

The Embassy issues a certified copy of an Australian Driver’s Licence in order to exchange for a Korean Driver’s Licence and this may replace “Embassy certificate or Apostille for the license”.

Certifying a Copy of an Australian Driver’s Licence (원본대조필 공증-호주 운전면허증)

"진술서 공증은 호주 사용 목적으로만 발급되며, 한국 및 제 3국 사용 목적으로는 발급되지 않습니다"

A statutory declaration is a solemn declaration of fact or belief, and may generally be made in relation to any matter. An affidavit is used to give evidence in court proceedings, while a statutory declaration is used to give evidence in most other circumstances.

The declaration must contain an acknowledgement that it is true and correct and that it was made in the belief that a person making a false declaration is liable to the relevant penalties for perjury (eg. in the case of a Commonwealth statutory declaration, imprisonment of up to four years).

Statutory Declaration (진술서 공증) - Only for use in Australia

Adult Passport - Renewal

An Apostille for an Australian public document can now be issued by the Embassy in Seoul. 
- An Apostille/Authentication requires two (2) working days to complete.
- Copies made by Australian Consular or Diplomatic officers cannot be issued with an Apostille.

Apostille/Authentication (아포스티유/영사확인)

A consular official can administer the oath or affirmation on an Australian affidavit.

•	Your lawyer must provide clear instructions as to what they need in and on the affidavit. We can't provide legal information or advice.

•	Before you bring an affidavit to us, contact your lawyer. Get their advice and specific instructions.

•	If an affidavit contains attachments or is multiple pages, we will bind the pages together. Some receiving authorities don't accept bound documents. Ask the receiving document if they'll accept it.

Passport application for an Adult (aged 18+), 32 pages, 10 years validity, for those who apply for the Australian Passport for the first time as an Adult. 

This is not "Renewing Adult Passport".
